Our Second Training: Robotics & Coding in Education
🤖 Bringing Innovation to the Classroom

On January 18, 2025, we hosted our second teacher training session, focusing on Robotics & Coding in Education, at the UNFICYP Conference Room. This session brought together 20 educators—10 from Turkish Cypriot schools and 10 from Greek Cypriot schools—to explore how robotics and coding can enhance student learning, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
💡 What We Covered
This hands-on workshop provided teachers with:
✅ An Introduction to Educational Robotics – Understanding how robotics can support STEM learning in primary and secondary education.
✅ Hands-On Coding Activities – Using block-based and text-based coding to control robots and create interactive learning experiences.
✅ Integrating Robotics into Lesson Plans – Practical ways to incorporate robotics and coding into different subjects, making lessons more engaging.
✅ Exploring AI & Automation – Understanding how robotics and AI work together to shape the future of education.
Practical Learning & Certification
Participants worked directly with advanced STEAM robotics kits, developing projects that they can replicate in their classrooms. They learned how to make robotics lessons accessible and engaging for students of all levels. At the end of the training, each teacher received an internationally recognized certification in Robotics & Coding Education, empowering them to bring innovative learning experiences to their students.
🎯 Why This Training Matters
Robotics and coding are key skills for the future, helping students develop critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. This session was a step forward in equipping educators with cutting-edge tools and fostering bicommunal collaboration in education across Cyprus.
